E & F Services comprises a small group of professional designers and engineers based at Westleigh Business Park, Blaby, Leicester. It was formed by Peter Merrion in 1966, who now runs it with his two sons, Sean and Dominic. The name E & F was taken from the Engine and Foundry division of Ford Motors because, soon after the company was formed, it was retained to work exclusively for the car maker, mainly to innovate engineering material and process changes, plus associated cost saving with their components suppliers. New Technology E & F® have launched a number of new products during the last few years. Dockside Mobile Loaders (DML's) have gained a technological lead in eliminating spillage and controlling dust on bulk solids applications. Grab unloading by DML's is easily meeting environmental EPA standards across Europe and elsewhere. There are 18 installations worldwide spread across 3 continents. Patents 8700236 and 8907536 have given E & F® a technological lead in handling and the abatement of dusty cargos from Crane Grabs. EFFEX® Filters have been vital to this technological lead. These are also supplied to a variety of dust control and abatement requirements in the Foundry, Quarry, Chemical Works and associated industries.
